The State of Kuwait affirmed today, Thursday, its sincere desire to support efforts to achieve a comprehensive and real reform of the UN Security Council so that it becomes more capable and effective in facing challenges in a more representative, transparent, impartial and credible framework.
This came during the State of Kuwait’s speech delivered by the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Organizations Affairs, Minister Plenipotentiary Abdulaziz Al-Jarallah, in the open high-level debate of the Security Council under the title “A New Vision for Reforming Multilateral Action”.
Al-Jarallah said, “The issue of reforming the Security Council is one of the main pillars of the comprehensive reform process of the United Nations,” expressing his hope that these discussions will contribute to advancing efforts aimed at strengthening the multilateral approach in order to overcome what it faces…
