Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said during the Arab summit held in Jeddah, “We are facing a historic opportunity to rearrange our situation,” indicating that hope is increasing with Arab-Arab rapprochement and the launch of a new phase of joint action, adding: “The Arab League’s work system and mechanisms must be developed in order to be in line with era,” stressing the need to prevent foreign interference in Arab affairs.
